Plant the seed, harvest the crop.

There is a pure truth in agriculture: you can only harvest what you have planted.

The same principle applies to life itself. We are not a result of aleatory circumstances we are a product of the accumulation of choices.

The problem we face today relays on our impatient selves; our fast moving world.

We have lost the ability to contemplate. To plant the seed, contemplate the growth and patiently await the harvest. The fast paced world we live in makes us crave results that are unachievable at the speed we are expecting them to happen.

“A watched pot never boils”.

The discontentment that follows the “unattained” results drops us into a vicious cycle. One that only spirals us downwards. And distracts us with grief from the dying hope of reaching our expectations. I quote the word unattained because the results are not precisely unattained, they just haven’t happened yet. Because we haven’t given them the time.

Time is the only real luxury.

We might have all the resources and seeds to plant, but if we lack time to develop our crops, the harvest will never be achieved.

Therefore what is a seed without time? Nothing but a seed. What is a seed with time? Whatever we want it to be.

It is as simple as treating ourselves with patience. Patience, kindness and understanding. Real change does not happen overnight. Any real outcome only comes from constant practice, determinated intentions and the supreme act of concentration in the simple act of patience. If we concentrate hard enough we can wait. If we wait we can harvest.

So be wise about what you plant, cause you will not only have to wait for the crop to grow, but if what you planted was not quality, your product will be trash. And the discontentment will only be amplified by the time we spent waiting for the results.

The act of controlling the mind and training it to slow down. To not expect immediate results, to determinedly work towards results while not losing sight of the goal to achieve. They will come, if we constantly work towards achieving them.
